• 1.0 out of 5 stars from LG -- Preordered and returned the day it arrived : This is one of the few cookbooks I was looking forward to receiving. When it arrived I sat down and started to read it. I loved Jacque's introduction but then quickly realized that one voice was missing. There is an interview with Wes and Sylvia, other past judges, and past contestants. I flipped through the entire book and could not find the voice. The voice belonged to Nicole. How can there be a Nailed It cookbook without an interview with Nicole? Yet again, I feel that this team is doing her dirty. Her face and cakes are featured in the back of the book but she is the face and heart of this show. It is disgusting. This is the second time where you have whitewashed the feel of the show and excluded her and I am returning the book for that reason. She is good enough to entertain, to be nominated for an Emmy, but you can't interview her for the book and I assume allow her to receive profits on the backend of this massively successful show?? It's not cool. Do better and if no one realizes this when putting the book together (especially in this political climate and your past actions) FIND A NEW TEAM! • 5.0 out of 5 stars from ChicagoMama -- Fun Family Cookbook... just like the show! : My kids and I watch this show all the time and were so excited for this cookbook. It was even better than we expected! It's funny (we can't get enough of looking at some of our favorite fails!) and colorful and has lots of photographs of how to do everything. It has all of our favorite recipes from the show, organized from easy(ish) to super hard, including recipes from the newest season. We loved the interviews with the judges and contestants and Jacques! Nicole wasn't interviewed in the book but Jacques talked a lot about her and she endorses it on the back so I don't think it was a slight... maybe she was too busy? In any case, we love her and the photos of her and Jacques and can't wait to try and bake our way through. Great cookbook all around. Highly recommend! I was confused how they could turn a show about baking wrong into a cookbook but it’s very cool, there are a lot of choices to make easier things that actually turn out well lol or to try making the huge ones. Well now its time to put her baking where her mouth is because she's got an entire book of recipes to attempt herself! She's having so much fun reading through it and has a recipe picked out for my birthday next month. The images and colorfulness of the pages really makes it feel like you're on the show!
